About Laura

Laura is a librarian and book reviewer based in Ōtautahi, Christchurch, New Zealand. She has a Graduate Diploma in Journalism from the University of Canterbury, a Masters in Information Studies from Victoria University of Wellington, and is professionally registered with LIANZA. Laura spent several years as a Community Library Manager for Auckland Libraries before returning to the Mainland in 2019. She now works as the Operations Manager for the Arts, Culture and Lifelong Learning Team at Selwyn District Council and is the LIANZA representative on the New Zealand Book Awards Trust Te Ohu Tiaki i Te Rau Hiringa. She is currently working towards her Level 5 Diploma in Te Reo Māori at Te Wānanga o Aotearoa.
