Laura is a librarian based in Ōtautahi. She spent several years as a Community Library Manager for Auckland Libraries before returning to the Mainland. She now works as the Operations Manager for the Arts, Culture and Lifelong Learning Team at Selwyn District Council and is LIANZA’s President-Elect. She has a Graduate Diploma in Journalism from the University of Canterbury, a Masters in Information Studies from Victoria University of Wellington, and is an Associate of LIANZA. Laura completed her Level 5 Diploma in Te Reo Māori at Te Wānanga o Aotearoa in 2023.
